Description
Dance Makers Collective’s Connect program is a 4-day intensive for early career artists and new graduates, designed to help them transition into the professional dance sector. Through classes and workshops in contemporary dance, self-producing, independent career management, improvisation and composition, artists will gain first-hand professional training, learn vital job-ready skills, and build valuable networks and support as they embark on a career in dance.
To ensure the best possible experience, Connect has a limited capacity of 22 participants – when we reach capacity, the program will be closed to registrations.
The program is facilitated by practicing, professional, artists and producers. In order to cater the concluding panel session to the needs of the participants, applicants are asked to pose questions to us that will best serve their interests and needs at this time.
DMC will also facilitate an evening of lo-fi showings of works in progress for participants to share their work with peers and local Sydney artists.
Cost:
Whole workshop intensive (4 days) Non-members: $500 Community members: $350 (30% off)
Individual days (per day)* Non-members: $160 Community members: $112 (30% off)
*if you would like to book in for more than one day but less than the entire intensive, please add to your cart the corresponding days one at a time and then complete your purchase.
We highly encourage you to become a DMC Community member if you haven’t already – a concession membership costs only $40 which means that if you then book for the full intensive you would access a $110 discount ($350 + $40). If you intend to do two or more days of the intensive, becoming a member now is a saving on the cost of the program!
DMC is committed to equitable programs, if you require financial assistance to participate in the program, or have any other questions, please let us know via email at [email protected]
