Arabella Kiefer

Arabella is an emerging independent artist in the professional industry with 19 years of training/experience in the dance world. She joined Sydney Dance Companies Pre-Professional Year in 2023, graduating in 2024 with an Advanced Diploma of Professional Dance (Elite Performance). Arabella has also graduated from Queensland Ballet Academies full-time Transitional Program in 2022 and trained with Newtown High School of the Performing Arts from 2017-2021. 

Whilst at PPY, Arabella had the honour of working and performing in pieces created by Rafael Bonachela, Charmene Yap, Miranda Wheen, Francis Rings, Prue Lang and James Bachelor. She also performed in Memoir for the Lost, Found, False and Fictitious, a work created by fellow peer Julien Cravero and performed in the 2024 Sydney Fringe Festival. She is also the creator of “NOW YOU SEE ME”, a short dance film in collaboration with 14 dancers exploring the need for dance outside of the studio. 

She has been a member of Dance Maker’s Collective’s Future Makers for over a year now and is also a member/founder of The Catchment Collective. 

Fun Fact: When I am not dancing, I am doing my Creative Writing degree! I started it when I fractured both my shins as a back up, however, I have kept going and I love writing.
