James Ewan Carrington Snashall

James (He/Him) is a Sydney-based dancer from the South Coast of NSW. As a recent graduate of Sydney Dance Company’s Pre-Professional Year Program, his training has a foundation in classical ballet and contemporary styles of dance, but is versed in a variety of dance forms.

James has had the opportunity to work with and learn from a wide range of dance artists and movement practitioners from Australia and abroad, and used these experience to form and shape his own dance practice.

James is interested in exploring how emotion and feeling can translate to visceral and complex physicality in movement, and is very excited to continue his development with the Future Makers program in 2026.

Fun Fact: James is studying an Economics Degree at the University of Sydney
