Kate Merrick

Kate Merrick is an emerging dance artist, trained in both classical and contemporary dance. Kate graduated from the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts with a Bachelor of Arts (Dance) in 2022.

While studying at WAAPA Kate was given the opportunity to create her first major choreographic work (Active from Within), which was performed as a part of the student choreographic season,Unleash. For Kate’s graduating performance she and her peers had the pleasure of working with the Pina Bausch Foundation to remount and perform Tannhauser Bacchanale, an iconic work choreographed by the late Pina Bausch. 

After graduation Kate returned home to NSW and began working independently, joining Future Makers in 2023.
