Niamh O’Sullivan (she/her) is an Australian artist, raised on Gadigal land. Her practice is grounded in improvisation and somatic inquiry, informing both her performance work and teaching. Niamh is deeply interested in improvisation and how this can be used as a tool for research, creation and in live performance. Earlier this year, Niamh performed with Twisted Element Co in their Machine Hall season of AURA MECHANICA and in BOND presented by HUMXN Company, choreographed by Analise Cunnington. In 2025, Niamh concluded a season at the Art Gallery of Western Australia performing in Dance Grass Dance Tree by Zheng Bo and Tyrone Earl Lrae Robinson, alongside Talitha Maslin. She also performed in the independent Fringe work Grass with a Capital G, choreographed by Bec Thomas. Niamh graduated from WAAPA in 2024 with a Bachelor of Arts (Dance), receiving the Peter Hurford and Palisade Awards for excellence. During her studies, she spent a semester at SUNY Purchase College, New York, performing with Purchase Dance Company.
