Olivia West

Olivia West is an emerging movement artist who grew up on Kaurna Yerta and is currently residing and performing on Gadigal land. She pays homage to her training at Ev & Bow Full Time Dance Training Centre as being pivotal in her development as an artist and having the opportunity to work alongside many inspiring artists has enhanced her appreciation of movement practice.

Olivia adores the fact that dance encourages her to stay curious and learn from the beautiful offerings of all that surrounds her; from fellow artists, to the natural world. Her appreciation for the way movement enables us to be fully immersed in something is ever-growing and a big source of inspiration in her practice.

Olivia was ecstatic to recently perform and assist Tegan Jeffrey-Rushton in the Adelaide Fringe Festival season of ‘Overture’, exploring the multifarious nature of site-specific immersive theatre that she also featured in as a part of FORM Dance Projects IDEA Now Showcase last year.

Olivia is currently interested in the intersection of her tertiary study and dance training practices including Dance Formation guided by Georgette Sofatzis.
