Olivia West

Leading with curiosity and appreciation, Olivia West (she/her) is a movement artist who grew up on Kaurna Yerta and is currently residing and performing on Gadigal Country. She pays homage to her training at Australian Dance Theatre’s Youth Ensemble, Ev & Bow Fulltime Dance Training Centre and Danceformation as being pivotal in her artistic evolution. Last year, she was ecstatic to perform and assist Tegan Jeffrey-Rushton in ‘Overture’ in the Adelaide Fringe which delved into the multifarious nature of site-specific immersive theatre. Olivia adored performing original works in the Sydney Fringe ‘Move FM’ show and immersed herself in a season of ‘Counterfeit’ by Alisdair Macindoe. More recently, Olivia has appeared in Twisted Element Co. ‘s work ‘AURA MECHANICA’ at the Machine Hall and performed alongside the indie band, Ligature. Currently, she is in development with Tobiah Booth-Remmers for his new work ‘In The End’. 

With a practice that is rooted in inquisitiveness, Olivia is keen to learn from the rich offerings of all that surround her; from fellow artists to the natural world to continue to explore and discover. 

Fun Fact: I have had at least 12 teeth pulled out!
