Zoe Jewell

Zoe is currently an independent dancer/artist based in Sydney, continuing to explore and develop her
individualised practice, with a strong interest towards forms of physical theatre and creation of
interdisciplinary performance spaces.
Having graduated Sydney Dance Company’s pre professional program in 2024 with an Advanced
Diploma in elite performance, she has since participated in performance project with Choreographer
Lali Aguade as part of B12 summer festival in Berlin, while recently being in collaboration with other
independent artists for Sydney Fringe Festival(September) and an improv based immersive event.
Through motivations of expanding the body’s movement vocabulary, she often draws upon methods of
unlocking sensations, emotional states and characters. Currently this has involved exploration of
releasing the ‘ego’ to access states of intuitive movement response, alongside aesthetic interests of
dark theatrical fairy tales/tropes.
