Alexandra (Alex) Lusty

Alexandra (Alex) Lusty is an emerging artist & new to the independent dance industry after studying for 2yrs at Sydney Dance Company’s Pre-Professional Year course from 2023-2024. During her time there she got to work & learn from a diverse range of choreographers & artists both nationally & internationally. Including creating & directing her first dance film ‘First Impressions’. Her end of year show (PPY Revealed) included works by Miranda Wheen ‘A Library of Extraordinary Things’, Frances Rings ‘Water Sketches’, James Batchelor ‘Circulation’ & an excerpt of ‘2 One Another’ by Rafael Bonachela. 

She took part in workshops from FORM dance projects, learning Crystal Pite repertoire & Kidd Pivot improvisation from Jir̂í Pokorný. As well as Gaga techniques from Lee Brummer & workshops with Bangarra Dance Theatre. 

Alex is also a DirtyFeet 2025 secondee, taking part in Choreographic Lab with Glory Tuohy-Daniell with future mentorship & creative experiences with DirtyFeet. 
This year, she hopes to expand her movement qualities & develop her choreographic style as she moves towards creating her first work.
