Dance Makers Collective has a significant impact on the physical and mental health and wellbeing of communities around Australia, particularly children and young people, emerging and mid-career artists, and communities in regional and outer-metropolitan areas across Australia.
To achieve lasting impact is only possible with financial support from individuals who make donations to the company, these donations enable us to subsidise the programs we offer to make them financially accessible to people from communities who cannot afford them. We believe dance is for everyone, and so our offerings are based on the principles of equity, if you cannot afford what we provide that should not prevent you from entering our doors.
Becoming a regular supporter, or making a one-off donation, means we can achieve true equity and fulfil our mission to build dance communities, here in Western Sydney, and in regional areas across our state and across Australia.
DMC Community Membership
Dance Makers Collective’s mission is to build dance communities, and the independent dance sector in greater Sydney is core to that mission. To make our programs more accessible to the independent dance sector, DMC has consolidated our expansive program through our new Community Members model.
Becoming a DMC Community Member makes you an official part of our wider family, and Community Members can take full advantage of our training, skills and professional development programs, as well as access to paid artist development and residency opportunities.
Community Members receive:
- A 10% discount on all DMC Artist Training and Development Programs
- Eligibility to apply for all DMC Paid Artist Development Opportunities
- A FREE three class pass upon registration
- A 25% discount on studio hire (for individuals or small groups without secured funding) and Company Pro-Class
