Karen Burke

Karen is a passionate Arts educator whose 30 year career has included teaching and leading rural, regional and metro schools and leadership roles in corporate education and lecturing at The Sydney Conservatorium of Music, The University of Sydney.

Currently, Karen is Director, Educational Leadership for the NSW Department of Education leading 20 primary, secondary and central schools in rural South West NSW.

With a refined skillset in critical questioning, strategic planning and leadership development through coaching Karen is well known for the bespoke professional learning she leads. Teacher Training Australia have invited Karen to develop and deliver workshops for teachers across Australia for more than five years.

Karen is an AITSL Nationally certified Lead Teacher and holds a Master of Education.
