Alison Plevey – Tree & Me

An Iso-somatic Session

In this meditation we will draw on experiences and imaginings of being in and sensing the wonder of the natural world within us and around us.

We will start with some breath exercises focussing and nourishing different spaces in the body, moving to visualisations that draw parallels between our own natural world – our bodies – and the ecosystem within which we live.

I hope this meditation is a way to reconnect with the complex beauty of your body, whilst acknowledging the reciprocities and synergies we have with nature.

Minimum price: $1.50

Description

In this meditation we will draw on experiences and imaginings of being in and sensing the wonder of the natural world within us and around us.

We will start with some breath exercises focussing and nourishing different spaces in the body, moving to visualisations that draw parallels between our own natural world – our bodies – and the ecosystem within which we live.

I hope this meditation is a way to reconnect with the complex beauty of your body, whilst acknowledging the reciprocities and synergies we have with nature.

In this meditation you might find that movement comes. You can invite it safely from your lying position, or simply receive these sensations without physicalising.

If at any time you are uncomfortable, move to adjust with ease.

In doing this meditation it may be useful to:

  • Find a quiet and comfortable, warm space, with no distractions.
  • A place to lie down, the floor on carpet or a yoga mat is probably best to not get cold.
  • Have a blanket nearby in case you need warmth.
  • Have a small towel or sock with you to cover your eyes, to remove light and give a deeper sensation to visualisations.
